4) Final draft.

My book is based on World War 1 and World War 2. This storyis mostly based on stories that happened. In other words their are no official characters and the document changes subject in every chapter. This story has reminisce of  people who know a days remember things that happened during the war. Therefore this book is explained in a mere way meaning the author is neutral, not defending neither the Germans or British.
Through out the book it gives you a a deep thought that you should be graceful of in the conditions you live because the book narrates that soldiers lived in a feverish  condition and lived inmarshy areas. War Stories tells you that in those times things were not easy and people ended up ghastly memories. There is a specific story in the book that is about some Russian Soldiers that were snipers and one of them is killed and the memory of the other soldier arehatred towards war. There is a part in the book that shows a picture of besieged  around a park in the northern part of europe of people protesting against the war because they hadanimosity towards how long the war had lasted.
I would recommend this book to who ever is interested in the topic of world war 1 and 2. This document is also for all ages because the writer makes in a simple and interesting way. An advantage that this book have is how chapters are based on stories if there is a story you would not like to read you can skip it and you will still understand the rest.   The book is really informative  and it has plenty of information. The book tells you almost every thing you have to know, like how they used howitzers in the war and how they where available to use cumbersome devices with out making things go worst.  There is a part in the story they   usesreconnaisse whic makes you understand better the strategy the army is using while you read the book. For last this a great book and you can aptly read it in any place.

Change in my myth and why.

I want to improve my myth because I think I could do it better. The way I believe I can improving this work is by being better at Capilization, puntuction , and being more clear in my ideas, also I may get more details so the work is clear enough. More things I could improve are clearing my ideas when I write for example in many sentences I am missing words because I dont elaborate well my ideas.
Therefore I think I may also elaborate more the characters so the story makes sense and it becomes longer this are all of the thing I could do so it is a good myth.

My Portofolio and my Passion

Portofolio:If someone people would see my portofolio would think that I am a open person in ideas because my portofolio talks of many different subjects. Also they would think I like sports because there are many pictures of sports in my portfolio also people would think I prefer english and sociales class because in thoose tabs I have the most written parts, and they would think I hate spanish class. There fore my portfolio shows I am simple person there is no rare things and the format is clear and not confusing. They would also would notice my interests, there they could figure out what I normally do on a regular day.
Passion: Things that passions my is playing polo, playing polo is one of the things that passions me. I play polo since I was little and it has always been something I enjoy doing. If you don't know what polo is I am going to explain you, polo is a sport that consist in 2 teams of 4 people in a horse which with a malet they hit the ball to score goals, it is a pretty complicated sport.

In my portfolio it going to be related with polo because every thing I will post it will be related to it. There my pictures are already of polo and most of my work is related to it. Polo is a amazing sports and since I was little I liked it.

Input on My portfolio

Paula:For each, class you could describe more the assignment you chose and also in the personal part you are missing your 3 best pieces of work, a paragraph about yourself, and also how have you changed as a learner.
Gaby Peters: I think you have a well based ideas but you should express more with pictures and things you like to do.

NEWS REPORTER (walking around the school): Have you ever felt that you don't want to go to your next class? That you just aren't willing to travel to that boring math class? Well we have and we mean to change it.

Today, students feel unmotivated by the constant boredom of their routine. They feel pressured by their teachers and superiors. Eisenstein Schools plan to change these problems. The routinary schedules are prone to kill multidirectional thinking and train the students to learn linearly in stead of considering multiple possibilities.

Eisenstein Educational Institutes will be a school with a liberty of schedules. This means that the students will be able to manage their schedules and their curriculums according to their interests. Nevertheless, they will require a minimum amount of hours per class in order to get a full credit for the class. As well, during the time given, the students will be required to complete certain accomplishments

In Eisenstein schools, there is one tutor per five students, who decide what they want to learn at the time they want. They can decide what to learn, if they accomplish the minimum tasks and hours they are expected to complete for each class. Ass well, the groups will change on a monthly basis in order to teach the students to collaborate with different personalities.

Off course  that this new model of learning would require teachers with a higher level of training, however our school offers a training program that takes 2 months that adapts our teachers to the system of our school.

It has been proved that these learning style is called the Dalton Plan which has been working successfully since the 1800s. Self government in learning programs is also expressed in the Winnetka plan. Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences also applies to this type of learning.

Here we have: (*blank), a student who will share with us a full day in the new school. How are you (*blank)?

(NEWS REPORTER goes into a class and STUDENT comes out with him)

STUDENT: Hey! Thank you for inviting me. Eisenstein Learning Institutes has changed my life as a student, but more important,  as a learner. Now I can decide when to learn my classes and to blend my schedule according to my interest.

NEWS REPORTER : What do you think is the greatest advantage of this new school?

STUDENT: I think the greatest advantage is that I can chose who I can work with and collaborate with them. I can also change what I want to learn, according to what I feel like doing in that day, yet I still do need to learn certain things. I can also decide what to spend my extra hours on, and the teacher-student ratio is pretty good since it is 5:1.

Answer Questions

What needs does the change that you want to make address?

The liberty of students, organize themselves, learn to manage their time in order to become more respectful. The concentration of students is solved since they can chose what to concentrate on because of their election.

Why would teachers, students, administrators, and parents be motivated to make this change?

STUDENTS: because they will be able to manage their schedule and decide when. Take free time when they need it.

TEACHERS: they have more motivated students, have a better class.

PARENTS: would be able to program appointments and more time for family time and after-school  enriching activities.

ADMINISTRATORS: students will want to enroll in this institute (more $$$) but only great ones will enter. This will make the school elite and an excellent one.

My Work This Year

The 3 best things I have done this year where my sociales debate, my science lab work and my english project on my summer reading. My sociales debate was one of the best things I did because first I was really in into the topic and I prepared for it. In this debate I was avaible to win and also earn a 4. This debate was about basic topics that church does not allow.
Other of my good works I did this year was in Social Studies in this work I had to memorize the play of Julius Cesaer death this was a group work and we all memorized and did a great job. Therefore we had to play roles and then improvise, it was fun experience,
For last the other good work was in Math a project I had to about Carl F. Gauss. This project had to be done in Prezi and in a document form, I had an excellent inform and made a great speech, I consider this yer I had done good works

Obstacles for School

The main obstacles I see in our new school are the following:

  • there maybe classes that no one would go in a day, this means organization is going to be tricky.
  • If, somehow, a class is not taken into consideration, a whole period of a day will be lost and the student will have to work after hours or in the weekends to solve that problem.
  • Irresponsible students will not have any classes planned for the day and, therefore, the whole purpose of responsibility and free schetules will be lost. And this kid most take those classes, they would learn to be organized.
  • If a teacher is not available a day, the classes he/she programmed will be cancelled.

My Ideal school

Issue: modern day schools follow a year long routine which can be boring.

Audience: the new school's comunity

Our school should not be a routine, the kids most be free to choose whatever subjects they are interested in. Our school should work by the kids taken a certain amount of classes, as an example in the year take 15 Sociales classes and they can choose when ever they like to take it. Also kids most be free of if they are  not feeling well or have issues to take a free period. Therefore teachers most comprehend the kids decission

Learning system this year

This year 2011-2012. I have learned a lot about learning since the beginning of this year. Because in this English class they guide you through the steps so you can succeed on what you are doing. Therefore in this class they first show you the knowing( a brief example of what you are going to learn in this subject), then they will teach you the understanding so you understand what they taught you in the knowing part( in most cases it is a worksheet). The next step is the hardest for me, because it is when you have to apply your understanding in something completely by yourself so its hard to get well. In this cases the things you do is like compare with something related to the topic. Then you analyze to understand perfectly, then you evaluate yourself to get every thing clear and for last you create something to do with the topic.

Theme is better 3

After meeting with my partner, Lorenzo Muñoz, we realized that we both had great themes, that were precise and made sense with the story, but after putting a lot of thought into our decision, we realized thatmys theme maybe explained a little more the story, or in other words it covered more parts of the story. Even though my theme was good, in some parts of the book it was not applicable. On the other hand, Ramon´s theme almost occurred in the entire story, so we thought that having a theme that covered the majority of the story would be more precise.
The theme that you are who you want to be and not depending in society is better because it gives you more understanding of what is happening in the book. This theme relates to all of the things that occur in the book also the theme shows what a society should not be like. In the beginning of the book, everyone wants to become pretty, but Shay realizes that being a pretty person does not make her a better person. Shay and the other people who wanted to be pretty are an example of the theme you are who you want to be and not having to depend on society. Even though the girls who wanted to be pretty depended on society, they still did what they thought was best for themselves. On the other hand, Shay stayed ugly because she thought it was better for herself and she did not depend on society.
Theme: You should be who you want to be and not depending in Society.
The theme means when someone is making you do things that you would not like to do you are being not yourself, you should not do this stuff only to fit in society. You are who you are, and you also think what you think no matter what other people think about you. If you are yourself people will like you of how you are not for something you are not. Be yourself. This what my theme means. The theme is related to the book because in the novel when people become 16 they make them to do a surgery to become pretty to fit in society.  This is what my theme tells is that in not about if you are pretty or ugly is that you should be acceptedby who you are.

Notes That relate my theme

Tally always wanted to become pretty, but then realized it wasn't worth it after meeting Shay. Meeting Shay was made an impact and made her realize it was not worth it.
- The surgery, made them new (false) people, it made people think how they wanted them to think.

Learning in groups

Learning in groups is better than learning by yourself because you have more knowledge from other people ideas, also I think tha if you learn by groups you learn in a faster way because their are more ideas shared in a same time. For example in the group investigation project I learned much more in a shorter time because all of the people gave ideas and that made you think more. Therefore by beeing in groups you also have to work more to make the group you are working better, because if you work in a group you have to do your best so no one will fail because your fault. Mean while is a time safer because you have to work less and learn more, example in the popplet my group work on I would had never be able to do all the research me and my peers by myself

Article 2 robotic and cloning

According to the experts we are going to have the computers and programs to have all those machines to make robots this robots still will not be so sofisticated has star wars. . Robots require instructions. They can’t think or adapt to the environment to changing situations(they are not humans). Robots must be able to interact with humans.

Star Wars Article in the Rocket City

Blaster are guns but they shoot laser. What you are doing is generating photons. With those photons, you are collimating them and projecting them into a collimated fashion to whatever target. Then you also have blaster ships. These ships have lots of blasters. They use this as guns and it will be much more effective because it would be cheeaper  This ship needs to have a lot of energy to be used. They say we will not have them before 10 to 20 years. In a character of star wars they use cybernetic arms and legs, which are manmade arms and legs used for many years for people who have lost them.

learrning is...

Learning for me is the process you make to learn something. As an example when they teach you how to tie your shoes they give a process and when you are avaible to master all the steps you have learned to tie your shoes. Therefore I also think that learning is when you are teached new things you had never heard.

Crash Bracelets

What my group has researched in our Crash Bracelets are many things as an example: Is that the crash bracelets work with motion sensors, cameras, and magnet. It will work by magnets preventing you to fall and it will activate the crash bracelets when the motion sensors they have feel a danger of falling. Therefore I think that it may also work is that there are cameras (as the ones that are in the traffic lights) so they know in which moment activate the crash bracelets. But my theory is that crash bracelets don’t have gravity so they would never touch the ground.

The theories I have about crash bracelets is that they are made in a way that they don’t have  so they would never touch the ground, but it will only be activated when the crash bracelets feels the sensation of falling. My theory is that the crash bracelets are activated by using motion sensors.

CRASH BRACELETS

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motion_detector  this links explained me how motion sensor work and why are they used.

·         That is, it is a device that contains a physical mechanism or electronic sensor that quantifies motion

·         can detect up to 15 – 25 meters

·         Motion detector work with 4 type of sensors

·         The sensor that Crash bracelets would use would be Ultrasonic (active)

·         Sends out pulses of ultrasonic waves and measures the reflection off a moving object

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_light_camera This link has what my theory tells of crash bracelets using cameras to know when to start their function. Also it shows that the theory is used in many places.

o   This cameras are activated whenever  the owner chooses.

o   This cameras can be hidden so now one sees them.

http://www.antigravitytechnology.net/  this link shows that antigravity may exist and it is possible to make it work.

*      There is a way to make things 0 gravity that means it would never touch the ground.

*      Know a days there are a lot of invention to do with gravity.

*      The Nasa anti gravity chamber is a way that crash bracelets may work.

http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/gpb/ This website shows how Nasa is now a days working in a way to make an anti-gravity

·         This shows that there is prove of anti gravity

. http://www.questacon.edu.au/indepth/clever/black_box_recorder.html        In this website is the explanation of how tha black box in  a plane works, (I think this may also be something crash bracelets work with because it records what you are doing.)

2 new theories:  One of my new theories today is that the ground would be made of springs so when you fall you would bounce up again.

My second theory is crash bracelets are controlled by a machine that checks everyone and when the person is falling the machine will activate the anti-gravity so you would not fall.

3 questions:

1.       How big would the magnet be to pull a person.

2.        Can there be a sensor made that knows when you are falling.

3.       If you do anti-gravity would the buildings float? Or can you make a small amount of anti-gravity

Theme

Theme is the most important part in literature and writing.  It is also known as the central idea of what the author is trying to tell you . In other words is the moral of the story. It should always be from real life. It is not an object, instead it is the opinion of it.The theme is also a opinion, if you ask someone about a theme in a book you would have different answeres.

Bad Poem

In this poem we would still have to add 10 forms of figurative language, for practice. For the process of making a poem bad, we had to do a brainstorm of what we thought made a poem bad. In this we included examples such as: non sense, confusion, not follow general rules, no rhyming, etc.. Then, we got into groups and discussed 3 main things: how our bad poem was going to be, which 10 figurative language we were going to use, and how our poem would be bad. When we finished our bad poem, (as you can see below) it turned out to be very bad. It was considered bad because it made NO sense, had mixed ideas, and was simply awkward to listen to. These are the factors of making a poem, bad.
